You will need to allow the Lime App to access your phone’s camera.

If the scooter is in good condition and working properly, press “Confirm Harvest”.

Note: if the scooter does not successfully collect, you will receive an error message.  Leave the scooter at the location of where you saw the scooter broken.

Often times scooters that are offline or have too high of a battery level will have this issue.

After the scooter has been harvested, place it securely in your vehicle.  Note scooters can move during transit and can be damaged if not stacked correctly.

Juicing The Lime Bike Electric Scooter

To Juice the Lime-S Scooter, plug the charger into an outlet and insert the charging port underneath the LED screen and plug the other end into the wall.

How can you tell when the electric scooter is fully charged?:

When the charging unit is plugged into the scooter and shows a green light.

Additionally, you can look at the “My Limes” section of the Lime app to see the battery percentage.

Furthermore, you can tell it is fully charged when the LED screen has 4 full bars across the bottom.

You can tell when the Lime-S Scooter is charging when the light on the charger is red.

Serving (Delivering)

Important, if you get an error message when deploying, take a screenshot of the error message, record the scooter plate and send to [email protected].

Lime-S scooters are required to be served by 7 AM. To earn full payout, remember the “BLT”: battery, location, time.

Serve Limes with full batteries at LimeHubs.

Go to Serve button on the Juicer app To find specific locations to deploy scooters.

You will see multiple Orange Pins on the map indicating deployment locations. These are LimeHubs.

Serving Requirements

Place in groups of at least two and deploy at the exact LimeHub location as indicated on the Lime App.

You can also deploy or on public right of way in the furniture zone between the curb and sidewalk.

Make sure the scooter board is facing pedestrian traffic.

Try and serve Lime-S scooters next to a larger object or wall so that people do not accidentally trip!

Make sure handlebars are turned to the left.

Once you’ve placed a scooter at an appropriate location, click  “Serve” in the Lime App. The QR scanner will appear.

Scan the QR codes and you will then take a photo of deployment!

When taking a photo:

  • Stay 8 to 10 feet away from the Lime-S scooters
  • Make sure all scooters are visible in the photo
  • Include at least 1-2 feet of a border around all of the scooters
  • Ensure that there is nothing blocking the camera
  • Turn your camera light on if at night

Reporting Broken Scooters

When you encounter a broken scooter, report it within the Lime App. Perform these 3 steps:

  1. Click on the broken scooter.
  2. Confirm the plate number matches the icon in the app.
  3. Click on the “!” icon in the bottom right-hand corner.

LEAVE THE SCOOTER AT THE LOCATION YOU FOUND IT IN A CLEARLY VISIBLE AREA

If you unlocked the scooter and then noticed that it was broken, “Serve” it immediately and report it as broken.

Select the issue with the Scooter on the Lime App. If it’s an LED error message, put it in the comments section.

By marking the scooter within the Lime App, it creates a signal for the ops team to fix the scooter.

Do I need To Pay Tax On Earnings?

Yes, you will need to report your earnings as income and pay income tax. You may also have to pay a self-employment taxes of 7.6% (the portion of Social Security and Medicare taxes your employer would normally pick up if you were a true employee). It is extremely important to consider this tax implication/liability prior to jumping into your Lime Charging.

How Long Does It Take To Charge A Lime Scooter?

If the Lime battery is at 0%, Lime estimates that it will take 5-6 hours to charge. Remember, Limes only have to be at 95% charge to receive full payment. Many times, Limes collect to charge will have some juice left in them. Personally, I’ve never collected a Lime Scooter with less than 30% battery life. Most of the time they are at 80%, and only take an hour or so to fully charge.

How Much Electricity Does It Take To Charge A Lime Scooter?

Regarding electricity, they estimate that it will cost around 25-50 cents worth of electricity. I’m sure that number will vary based on location and rates.
